Tech Gift Ideas for Travel Lovers
Portable Charger ¢
I was gifted a portable charger more than ten years ago and I still have it and use it! While it’s not always necessary, it can be helpful to keep my phone charged during my travels. This can be helpful for the camera, but it can be a life saver in an emergency!
AirTags
For the traveler who may have had bad luck with luggage, an AirTag would be the perfect gift! These come in a four pack or as individual AirTags (¢).
Premium Airplane Bluetooth 5.3 Adapter
If you want to use your wireless headphones or airpods, this adapter will let you do just that while on the plane! It’s perfect for any frequent traveler and you won’t have to deal with any chords if your neighbor needs to make a bathroom trip.
Beats Studio Pro
Speaking of Bluetooth headphones, a noise cancelling pair can be a lifesaver on a long flight! It’s much easier to catch a few Z’s if you can’t hear your neighbor snoring.
Apple AirPods
Another Bluetooth option, but these take up less room in your carry-on!
EPICKA Universal Travel Adapter ¢
This travel adapter has 4.7 stars and over 15,000 reviews! One reviewer said it’s the best travel adapter she’s ever had.
Voltage Converter 220v to 110v Converter
This is a travel adapter as well, but more importantly it’s a voltage converter! I charge my phone with travel adapters. However, I’m going to need to invest in this if I ever want to take my hair straightener on a trip.
My old travel converter wasn’t the best and I lost two hair straighteners in Australia. Yes, two! Apparently, I didn’t learn my lesson the first time.
This is a great gift for anyone who wants to take a hair dryer or straightener on their travels.
Tech Organizer ¢
Maybe your traveler has all the tech, but needs to keep it organized while traveling! This tech organizer would be perfect to keep all the cords and chargers in one location!
Audible Membership or Gift Cards ¢
I love listening to books, and if your traveler does too, this could be a perfect gift! Consider a membership or a gift card!
JBL Clip 5 – Ultra-Portable, Waterproof and Dustproof Bluetooth Speaker
This is perfect for any travel and music lovers. It has a clip for added security and is water and dust proof! There are various colors to choose from and it boasts up to 12 hours of play!

For the traveler you know who is always hot or always traveling to countries with no AC! It comes in various colors and the battery is rechargeable.
Luggage and Accessory Gift Ideas for Travel Lovers
SwissGear 7366 Hardside Expandable Luggage with Spinner Wheels
Most travelers will already have a carry-on or two, but just in case they could use an upgrade, it’s worth mentioning! Most airlines are getting smaller and stricter on size. If you know the airline your traveler frequents you can check the size specific to the airline.
If it’s for a budget traveler, consider the smaller size so they can use it on most airlines.
riemot Luggage Travel Cup Holder ¢
For the frequent traveler who can’t hold their phone and coffee while wheeling through the airport. This little cup holder attaches to your carry-on luggage keeping your hands free.
Luggage Tags ¢
An easy gift or stocking stuffer for any traveler! They are practical and can be cute!
Travel Wine Bottle Protector Sleeves ¢
For your wine and travel lovers, these protective sleeves can offer a little extra peace of mind for packing wine bottles. They are lightweight and reusable. You’ll still need to keep them cushioned around clothing, but these sleeves offer extra protection.
Compression Bags ¢
These are great for the over-packer! You don’t need a vacuum because you roll the air out, which makes it easy to use and pack! Just be careful, because it’s easy to exceed weight limits with these.
Veken 8 Set Packing Cubes for Suitcases ¢
While not everyone is sold on packing cubes, that super organized traveler you know probably loves them! These include shoe bags and a laundry bag, as well as a hanging cosmetic bag!
pack all Water-Resistant Travel Shoe Bags ¢
I’ve traveled with lots of my friends over the years and started noticing that some friends throw their shoes in their suitcase just anywhere. Slightly horrified, I did a poll on instagram among my friends, family, and a some strangers. The results were actually about 50/50!
So if your traveler is like me and ensures shoes are put in double or thick plastic bags before packing them to ensure they don’t touch their clothes directly, then this might be a great gift idea!
I read the reviews and one mentioned shoes being kept safe, but I was looking for the clothes never touched the shoe germs review and finally found it. One reviewer said they hiked for two days and packed wet hiking boots in the bag. Once home, all clothes and everything around the hiking boots were completely dry! The bag kept the wet hiking boots from getting on the clothes!
It’s worth noting these are water-resistant, not water-proof. The item description stated the zipper can let water in, so these are not meant to be dunked in water. For the purpose they are created, it sounds like they work great!
Cotton Cloth Shoe Bags ¢
For the traveler moving away from synthetic fabrics, these 100% cotton shoe bags are perfect! They are also great for storage when not traveling!
Paravel Fold-Up Mini Travel Backpack
This backpack folds into a small pack with dimensions 4.5″ x 5″ x 2″. Unfolded it’s actually cute and would make a very practical day backpack while traveling! I’ve linked the green one because I seem to be in my green era, but they also have blue or black options available.
4Monster Hiking Daypack ¢
Similar concept to the above option, but cheaper and in a hiking style. Great for your outdoorsy travel friend! I’ve linked the 16L option which folds into a small pouch measuring 5.1″ by 2.8″. It comes in larger sizes and various colors and prints.
Pander Cross Body Fanny Pack Belt Bag ¢
This is great for keeping your belongings close while traveling. It feels more secure than a dangling purse. While the backpacks are better for anyone with large cameras or people who need to carry more, this is great for the minimalist!
Columbia Lightweight Packable Ii Hip Pack
I have this fanny pack, which folds down into a little envelope. It fits only the essentials, but it comes in various colors. Great for a short hike or travels where it might come in handy.
Travel Wallet Passport Holder ¢
If you’re going to get a passport holder for your international traveling friend, it has got to be cute! These come in various colors and have simple and cute gold plane in the corner.
Boasting 4.7 stars and almost 3,000 reviews! One reviewer says it’s “functional and cute” and anyone with a passport can use this cute wallet.
HERO Neck Wallet ¢
This one is not cute, but it’s very practical. You wear it as a necklace and while traveling could simply hide it under your clothes for extra safekeeping (assuming it’s not a hot weather destination).
This item boasts 4.7 stars and over 8,000 reviewers! I’ve had the hidden belts, but this could be more comfortable for most people!
Travel Jewelry Organizer Case Foldable Jewelry Roll ¢
There are definitely trips I take where I leave my jewelry at home, especially if I’m going solo. However, I love jewelry, and sometimes want to take my jewelry on a trip. This foldable organizer is perfect for packing jewelry options! And because it matters to most jewelry wearers, it’s cute!
Compression Socks for Women and Men Circulation ¢
I’ve never used compression socks, unless wearing soccer socks over shin guards counts. However, these can help for long plane rides especially and should probably be added to my Christmas list.
The ones linked are considered a good compression amount for most people, but of course that can vary from person to person. They have 4.4 stars and over 75,000 reviews, so it does seem like they work for most people! Of course, on Amazon they offer free returns just in case!
Toiletries Related Gift Ideas for Travel Lovers
Makeup Bag Travel Bag with Hanging Hook ¢
When it comes to a toiletries bag, I need the hanger! Over the years, I’ve also traded out my larger one for a smaller bag that fits better into my carry-on.
Mini Refillable Perfume Bottles for Travel ¢
I have a couple of these and they are great! When you have a perfume that doesn’t come in a travel size or you just don’t want to buy the travel size, this is perfect!
Natural Perfume Mists for Women Travel Size Sampler ¢
I’ve moved to more natural items over the years, but I have to admit I haven’t found natural perfume I like yet. If you know someone who already buys natural perfumes or is interested in moving that direction, a sample pack is perfect!
It’s great for sampling and if they like it there’s the bonus of it already being travel size! If you buy this as a gift, it’s worth noting some reviews said it arrived damaged. Just consider that before wrapping!
Small Containers ¢
I bought these a few years ago to help me stay within the quart sized bag of liquids when traveling in a carry-on. In my opinion, toiletries are the hardest part of travel in a carry-on, but the containers help me pack all my necessities!
If your traveler is anything like me, there are specific skincare items or shampoos that you want to take but don’t want your small amount of liquid space taken up by larger containers. These are inexpensive and have worked so well for me!
Shampoo and Conditioner Bars ¢
Another way to help with the small amount liquids allowed is to just cut down on liquids! I bought these shampoo and conditioner bars to take with me on travels!
For shorter trips, I just put my usual shampoo and conditioner in the small containers. However, if it’s a week or more, these bars are perfect! They worked so well for me on my trip to Fiji when I was in the ocean daily!
One of their popular options is the Rice Water Shampoo Bar for Hair Growth but they have all types including purple shampoo and conditioner for blondes! They also have Bar Soap Saver Bags that are cute and functional.
Pocket Scrunchies Hair Ties with Hidden Zipper ¢
Of all the options that include hidden zippers, this is one of my favorites. An easy and clever way to hide cash or your car key or just some chap stick! I haven’t bought these yet, but they have good reviews and I’ve already added them to my list!
Money Belts for Travel ¢
If you’re not a scrunchie wearer, this travel belt actually looks and behaves like a belt! It’s not the kind you wear under clothes that is bulkier. I don’t wear belts often, but if your traveler does this could be perfect! It looks and acts like a belt, but it has a hidden zipper so you can hide cash while traveling!
Make a Sea or Travel Survival Kit
If you know that your traveler is going on a cruise or sailing holiday, consider creating a survival kit of sorts. According to the NOAA, those who are sea sick will need to stay hydrated, stay moving, stay on deck for fresh air, and should consider over the counter meds.

Photo Related Gift Ideas for Travel Lovers
Foldable Phone Tripod
This doesn’t extend like a selfie stick, but this tripod will come in handy for selfies or any shot where you need to keep still. Like capturing the Northern Lights!
Waterproof Phone Case for Underwater Photo ¢
I bought this for my island hopping Fiji trip! It worked for my phone perfectly and allowed me to take underwater photos as I snorkeled. You can’t take it scuba diving, but it’s great for other water sports!
I loved the write strap to keep me from losing my phone! The button to take photos was great and so much better than trying to use the touch screen.
KODAK EKTAR H35 Half Frame Film Camera, 35mm, Reusable,
There is something so fun about using film cameras! The nostalgia meets the inability to obsess over the photos which helps you stay present!
Genuine Leather Photo Albums with 30 Writing Paper ¢
Photo album meets journal makes this a great gift for anyone! Whether the traveler gets their film developed or has their iPhone photos printed, this is perfect to record those travel memories!
Outdoorsy Gift Ideas for Travel Lovers
Rumpl The NanoLoft Puffy Blanket
I have never traveled with a blanket, but if you know someone who loves camping or is planning a trip where this would be handy it could make a great gift! The reviewers say it’s warm and lightweight which I suppose is exactly what you want out of a travel blanket!
Rainleaf Microfiber Towel ¢
Another item that would be good for a camper! This microfiber towel comes in various colors and sizes as well!
Detergent Sheets ¢
I actually took a couple sheets to Fiji with me since I was only taking a carry-on and I did use them! Generally, I don’t do laundry while traveling, but these could be very useful for the camper in your life!
Comfort and Accessory Gift Ideas for Travel Lovers
MZOO Sleep Eye Mask ¢
I’m not really a sleep mask wearer, but this one comes with 4.6 stars and over 92,000 reviewers! It comes in various colors and reviewers are saying it’s extremely comfortable.
trtl Travel Pillow
My sister bought me this a while ago and it has been a game changer on long flights! It’s a bit like a neck brace, though less invasive. I love how it holds my head up and keeps my mouth closed, so I’m not waking up with drool. Bonus!
I’ve had the traditional neck pillows and even an inflatable one, but this saved my neck on my Fiji flight! According to reviews, it’s not comfortable for everyone even though it is adjustable. For reference, I’m 5’9 and not small at all. So this might not work as well for your petite travel friend.
Infinity Pillow
This is an infinity scarf meets neck pillow and from the review photos looks similarly neck bracing to the trtl pillow. It has great reviews and would be a great gift for your travel friends who habitually take long flights!
Havaianas ¢
I’m convinced these are the most comfortable flip flops in existence. The thinner strap options don’t last as long as I’d want, but they are so comfortable that I keep coming back to them.
Travel Slippers for Women and Men
Can we just all be on the same page that no one should be walking around barefoot on a plane?! For those who do, this probably is not a gift on your radar. However, for those of us who would never dream of it, these little foldable travel slippers could be great for long flights!
I say long flights, because I think the only time I’ve ever gone down to my socks (only at my seat) was crossing the Pacific Ocean! Typically, I just put my shoes back on if I need to make a bathroom trip. However, these are great for the plane or even hotel room while traveling.
I try to put on an alter ego when I travel who is magically immune to germs, because if not I’d drive myself nuts. If you don’t have said alter ego, these might be perfect for you! One reviewer mentioned they were wide, but personally, I’d wear socks for extra environmental protection. 😉
STANLEY All Day Slim Bottle ¢
I do have one Stanley water bottle and I love it! If i was to get another one, this design might win! I LOVE that it unscrews at the bottle neck so you’re able to clean it well!
The drawback, for me anyway, is that there is no strap to hold. You may not mind, but far too often I hold my water bottles with one finger while I pile everything I can into my hands and arms.
Hydro Flask Stainless Steel Standard Mouth Water Bottle
This one doesn’t have the cool option to unscrew at the neck like the Stanley, but it is easier to carry around for those of us that fill our hands and need a strap to carry it on one finger.
This is one the most highly rated water bottles, so if your travel lover is in need of an upgrade, this is a great one to consider!
Stanley All Day 40 oz Quencher Carry-All
If your traveler already walks around with a 40 oz quencher, then this carry-all would make a great gift for their travels! It can hold phone, keys, or sunglasses easy and be worn cross body for added comfort!
Filter Water Bottle ¢
For those who want a filtered water bottle, this is great! I bought it for a trip and it worked really well. Florida has the worst tasting water, and while most places are better this filter adds that extra peace of mind that the water isn’t going to be awful!
Car Cup Holder Expander ¢
I’ve recently downgraded my water bottle size, because it turns out I was dehydrating myself by drinking TOO MUCH water! Though that was not the fault of the water bottle! However, if you know someone walking around with a massive water bottle, this car adapter could be perfect!
Whether they are a road trip warrior or you know they’d get good use of it, this adapter has great reviews!
Experience Gift Ideas for Travel Lovers
Viator Tours
Sometimes the best gifts are experiences and I think most travelers would agree! I’ve used Viator to book tours both in Florida and internationally and have had great experiences!
Tours I’ve booked include a Little Havana Food Tour in Miami and a Hot Air Balloon Tour in Mexico City! Consider playing a tourist in your home state and book a tour to share with your traveler!
Get Your Guide
Similar to Viator, Get Your Guide offers tours. This option is especially good for Europe and while some tour options overlap between the companies, there are destinations that one is better than the other.
SEARADAR
This is not for the budget gift giver, but if you are wanting to book an epic sailing adventure, this website can help you! There are destination options all over the world and they can help you book a vessel and a crew if needed!
What to Get Someone Who Loves Travel
I hope you either found some travel gifts for the person or people in your world or that it gave you ideas! Whether frequent travelers, weekend warriors, the camping or hiking types, or someone just making the most of their PTO, they likely have learned or are learning to value things that can’t be bought.
I know this is a strange way to end a list of travel gift ideas, but don’t feel pressure. Your traveler would probably enjoy a walk and coffee with you, so if no gifts are a standout, consider an experience! I can’t speak for all travelers, but I love an adventure with good company no matter how small or seemingly simple.
